Google Research has introduced MedLM, a family of AI models fine-tuned for healthcare industry use cases. MedLM, built on Med-PaLM 2, is available to Google Cloud customers in the US and in preview in other markets. The models are designed to assist healthcare organizations with tasks ranging from summarizing conversations to searching through medications. Companies including HCA Healthcare, BenchSci, Accenture, and Deloitte are integrating MedLM into their solutions to improve areas such as medical documentation, pre-clinical research, healthcare access, and provider search.
