D-Wave Quantum Inc., a leading quantum computing company, and the University of Southern California (USC) have renewed their multiyear partnership. USC will continue to host a D-Wave Advantage quantum computer, supporting research and adoption of annealing quantum computing solutions. The collaboration provides real-time access to D-Wave's first U.S.-based system via its Leap quantum cloud service. The system, featuring over 5,000 qubits, is used to address complex computational problems in areas like AI, logistics, and national defense. The partnership aligns with USC President Carol Folt’s Frontiers of Computing initiative and is led by Dr. Alan Baratz, CEO of D-Wave, and Yannis C. Yortsos, Dean of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering.
