Riverside Research has been awarded a 160 million dollar contract by the Defense Innovation Unit to accelerate the adoption of commercial technology for national security.
The contract which spans five years will see Riverside Research provide technical and engineering support to the Defense Innovation Unit and its partners. According to Shiloh Dockstader Director of the Commercial Innovation Center this contract represents confidence in Riverside Research's ability to support the unit's mission.
Dr Steven Omick President and CEO of Riverside Research stated that the company is committed to advancing the acquisition and deployment of cutting edge technologies including artificial intelligence and machine learning autonomous systems cybersecurity and quantum sensing. The company will work with the Defense Innovation Unit to prototype transition and scale commercial technologies across the Department of Defense. This partnership aims to strengthen national security by bolstering the adoption of commercial technology throughout the military.
